Aerial Toll Houses

Here we have a very fascinating belief belonging to Orthodox Christianity. It may seem harsh but I find it to be a very helpful teaching. As a mercy and a guidance.

The teaching:

After death, the soul is taken by angels on a journey to heaven. But on the journey the soul must pass through the Aerial Realm. The soul must face challenges and judgement by Demons who seek to take the soul of it's path to heaven and in to Hell. This happens at various points called "Toll Houses".

There are twenty sins that will be reviewed:

1. Sins of the tongue. 2. Lies. 3. Slander. 4. Gluttony. 5. Laziness. 6. Theft. 7. Covetousness. 8. Usury. 9. Injustice. 10. Envy. 11. Pride. 12. Anger. 13. Remembering Evil. 14. Murder. 15. Magic. 16. Lust. 17. Adultery. 18. Sodomy. 19. Heresy. 20. Unmercifulness.

Whether all this is true or not is up to debate. But here I see wonderful guidelines for self improvement and empowerment.

It is allot like the Qur'an because of it's boldness. But think about it! Each of the Sins listed easily cause us suffering which could put us in a state of hell even before death!

Kind of like an after life school room . I have heard of Purgatory , but this is the first I have heard of The Aerial toll house . Theres no judge but yourself as above poster says.
People create their own reality so murder etc is created by both parties and that's great because its all up to you if you want to be a victim or not. so what's a judge needed for?
