Princess Diana

I watched her get married in South Africa I must have been 6 or so and I remember it all. I was devastated by her death. She was 36 when she died, the same age I will be in July.
Share your thoughts with me.
She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was the first in public and on camera to shake an HIV positive person's hand. She raised her children very well, made them stand in line at Mc'donalds, went with them at night to meet the homeless.
I was fascinated with her and still am. When they announced she was dead I just started balling.

i was 12 when she got married, it was so exciting! watched her "grow up" as she was so much younger than "him". watched her treated like an out sider from the inside. watched her bloom when she had her children and watched the world cry when she passed. we had our scanner going the night it happened and actually caught the mayor of our city say that so-and-so deserved to die"!!!!!!!

i have every news paper, enquirer, everything i could get my hands on packed in a zipper lock plastic bag.

she was a lady from the first time we heard about her till she was laid to rest.
it was a great loss.

Wow earth prowler that's tough when you heart that that ##$## deserved to die. How can people be so cruel.
I too have a lot of magazines when she died including a copy of the DVD elton john released that he sang at her funeral which is still in it's plastic cover.
I miss her so much and I often wonder what she would think of her boys now, no doubt very proud.

i thought it very considerate the birthday bash they threw for her a few years back that was televised all over the world. i think it showed how proud of her they were, she did so much for so many people; she should be remembered always.

she raised them to be upstanding citizens for their country and think for themselves and have fun!

Beautiful, beautiful woman. Didn't follow her too much, but she really seemed like a great person with a big heart, and did some good things in this world.

I was 4 months pregnant when she died and I remember breaking down and crying at work when we were talking about it. All I could think of was we just lost two bright points of light with Mother Theresa and Princess Diana gone. It was sad that she'd finally found love and now she was gone and her two boys would have to grow up without her. She raised those boys right, though. They both have her heart and spirit.

I just found this. I was a toddler when diana got married and a teenager when she died. I'm from the united states and there was coverage here everyday up until she died. What stood out for me was the way she had been ridiculed and harassed by the press. I didn't even know why she was at the time but felt so sorry for her. The media wants to portray her as this angel of charity but they sure had no respect for her while she was alive. The embarrassed and humiliated her....I just remember her trying to get away and feeling very angry watching this harassment and belittlement go on every single day. That was the first time I really knew who she was. It was like watching a bunch of vultures attacking a kitten. I remember being disgusted and hating the media for it. It was three months later and she was dead. If the paparazzi weren't responsible for physically causing her death(as they were for chasing her) then they definantly were respnosible spiritually and emotionally assaulting her. That's how I had first seen Diana. There are no words for the pig who cheated and didn't protect her from this....didn't even try.

I remember the day that Diana died, she bought her two sons up to see both sides of living, living in poverty and being fortunate like they were.and her life carries on in them, she left a legacy .
