Running, there's a certain segment of the population that is easily manipulated due to their constant near hysteria about everything. Oh no! The United Nations is trying to kill us all! Etc. There's another much smaller segment that takes advantage of that, to their own GREAT advantage.

i don't personally know much of anything or have read anything at all about it. but i respect my girlfriend and her gift as a psychic and intuitive healer. and her being a sorta hard core liberal and from a family of such. so it goes against what she would like to believe. and for no other reason than one shoud or perhaps must respect ones partner. i think you would agree. so when she gets psychic and or intuitive feelings about something being there, i have an open mind. so i have my song if there is something there. love the song anyways. lol. so any excuse to listen to it and use it for growth, why not?

Personally Running, when I comment on something I try to know something about it. Wikipedia has a great write-up on it, explaining exactly what it is and what it's goals are, or, what I like to do best of all is go to the source and check it out for myself. That way, no one can fill me full of nonsense.

I think you would agree that sometimes the media can slant things in an odd way. Is there 'something there'? Of course there is, in the same way that the current migrant caravan is the indirect result of US involvement in South America, the same way that 9/11 was the indirect result of US involvement in the middle east. Agenda 21 is simply a global sustainability plan for going into the future. It's not a law or even an agreement - it's just a plan! Don't you think, however, it's about time someone thought about something like that? Agree or disagree with climate change, the climate is changing, and our long term use and abuse of natural resources means someone has to think of the consequences and how to mitigate them for our own survival. You should be happy to know someone is stepping up, even if you have your own thoughts on what should be done.

What I don't understand is why people waste thought on shadowy conspiracy theories when there is so much going on in the world that one should be worried about, which it doesn't take any psychic powers to see: The current global rise in fascism, the weakening of traditional western alliances and institutions, the rise in surveillance societies, the impending reproliferation of nuclear weapons, climate change impacting global farming and manufacturing... These are all readily and blatantly observable facts. I could go on and on. Ah well.

Perhaps a good song for this post would be 'More than a Feeling' from Boston... But I'll try to leave on a lighter note with a song I have often turned to when I needed a lift, and which I think fits well here.

i just operate differently than you or most people. i go by what i see but more importantly my gut instincts and intuition. you gather info that supports your thesis.. if i was placing a bet i would bet there is something there. if even by complete accident simply because there has always been and always will be people whom wish greater control and less liberty and sovereignty for the people and the countries they reside in. history doesn't repeat but always rhymes. it would be naive to think anything else. reguardless i value my girlfriends intuition second to my own. like everything in my life success happens by that. not by putting Wikipedia or whatever it may be before that. the reason i dont research it is simply because it would be like researching to find out if the sun comes up. there is nothing new under the sun including this. reguardless of the specifics of such. or the name in which it may go by. therefore a waste of energy.

That certainly is operating differently from me.

Why would you not look at what something actually is, but rather just assume what you cynically think it is? Isn't that putting the perceptual cart before the horse?

And like I said, it is a plan. Someone asked 'What could be done about this?' and a group of people got together and said 'This is what could be done about this'. Any malfeasance, if it was to come, would come in at implementation, because greed is attracted to power like a moth to a flame, should they be able to get away with it. You prevent that by looking at what it is as leaders try to enact it. If you are unable to see what it is in the first place, you are at a distinct disadvantage even if you do see them coming.
