watching what things are doing

sometimes if you quit getting lost in words and phrases and watch what things do something can be learned.

For example you probably have seen flames and watch them strive upward. People seem to like the idea of going up though, so fire is good.

Funny thing though, we are told that the east gate to eden is guarded by a cherubim with a FLAMING sword. Ignoring what the word 'sword' might mean for purposes of this, I can still learn a little... for example the fact that it is flaming would seem to indicate it would be driving things upward... and yet the fact that it was specifically arranged as a 'flaming sword' to keep us out of eden would make it questionable as to whether trying to go 'up' was in fact the correct decision, assuming we did indeed find eden valuable.

Meanwhile, water goes with gravity and flows downward into places people seem to very much dislike.

Funny thing though, baptism, something cherished by christians, is done with water. And it is kind of an initiation ceremony. So again, given the importance this ceremony has in the christian faith and the propensity of things to actually have meaning, this begs the open question, is trying to go down really a better decision?

two pointers, based on evidence based out of this reality, and both telling me that commonly cherished wisdom is likely to be dead wrong.

And both telling me, going with what I WANT things to be like at the expense of what the reality is that they are, may also be the wrong path.

Hi FallingLeaves. I've learned that the flaming sword is symbolic of intuitive knowledge. The human being passes through the initiation gate by elevating mundane thinking and intellectualism, and transforming it into the hot, bright, sharpened, penetrating clarity of intuitive knowing. Another way of describing intuitive knowledge: it is understanding and wisdom that the human being arrives at via interaction with the higher self. Higher self wisdom has a purity and child-like quality to it. The angelic being (cherubim) is representative of both the higher self, and the child-like aspect of the intuitive knowing process.

There is an esoteric exercise to awaken intuitive knowledge. It's called observational science: observing nature essentially. Or as you are touching upon, watching what things are doing. That said, it's also the means whereby one learns not to get caught up in thought-contrivances regarding what one observes, such as good vs bad dichotomies. Because we can choose to read negatives/positives into whatever we wish, as in "burned by fire," which of course would be something people dislike, as you might put it. And also with water, one can "relax and float downstream," meaning water in that case is seen as good, as you might describe things. In esoteric terms btw, water is understood as pure spirit or the realm of spirit.

And if you are an eternal soul, and if you reincarnate many, many times over eons of existence, then how can there ever be a "wrong path"? All there would be, are paths one takes in this or that particular life. Each path, and the experiences one has on each path, would reveal something worthwhile. Each lifetime would further awaken the human being to self-knowledge. In other words no right or wrong paths, just a kaleidoscope of experiences on the awakening journey.

all i know is the book says, god kicked them out of eden, then placed a cherubim with a flaming sword at the east gate to prevent reentry. That is not what I THINK that is what the book SAYS.

Anyway with respect to any goal that involves getting back to eden, the flaming sword is part of the impediment to achieving the goal not an aid thereto (again this is what the book says not what I say) and the obvious conclusion is that it is a bad thing relative to achieving the goal.

Personally I like the idea of eden so I get to consider the flaming sword bad.

God offers the opportunity for something much better than living in Eden. Because Adam and Eve disobeyed we have all become sinners and the natural end of our lives is to spend eternity in Hell. Those who take advantage of the opportunity by repents of our sins and putting our faith in Jesus can look forward to spending eternity on the new earth described in the last two chapters of Revelation. it's not my belief that human souls were "cast out" of eden [meaning heaven,
due to the presence of god's spirit abiding there]... irregardless of the words

What did the Almighty do after the giving of the ten commandments?
He established the atoning practices for the sake of His people. Whom He loved.

You're denying what is written also in Isaiah about Him ?
God is called "Savior", and "Redeemer", both throughout the ages of the biblical writings. Old testament, and in the new.

There is the scripture which accurately states, "Slain from the foundation of the world!" (Revelation 13:8)
Why..?
Because, as Einstein brought out much later on, this world in TIME and space is illusory.

The real question here, is not whether or not His atonement for us all has not been long prophesied through the ages of the writings, but, "what is driving this mania of yours".

Now, to counter this direct intervention - at first Yhvh is p%ssed at us all as we know, alters the mortal form, alters Angelic forms, bans us all down here fully mortal....Christ intervenes - Yhvh tries to dominate - commandments - "atoning sacrifice" - its all trying to keep you directly cowed and submissive, simply too afraid to raise the head to question - so I ask it on you r behalf - IF this law was "perfect" as you insist, then WHY need to atone for anything..?.. After all, WE DID NOTHING WRONG - not punished for ANY DISOBEDIANCE = punished to PRVENT US from utilising our new knowledge and the spiritual talents that come with it - ie crossing spiritual dimensions AT WILL - ascending ABOVE to the true Divine - punished here to DIREC TLY prevent that Ascension from occurring....

Why do I do this..?...I tell you many times - I know Him personally - that Holy Ghost is very real - pass on my truth He said, basically, give you all what He gave me directly - accept it or not - it will remain as His truth even until the day you become ready...He wont judge condemn, punish or demand ANYTHING from you - He is patient eternal - will reveal Himself to those who truly become worthy of His mystery, just as He openly taught for those with ears to hear...

Let's address your reasoning. You know I've referred to "street view", vs. "satellite view", lately.
