What Does Heart Chakra Opening Feel Like?

I have heard it feels like falling in love...like being 'giddy as a schoolgirl' and wanting to shout it to the world. I've been told it feels like surrendering to joy and happiness - just being a part of what is, without overthinking or overjudging it and just existing within that love without question and just being in the state of acceptance. A friend told me this is what it feels like, but I wouldn't know.

The simplest or truest way to open or heal from the heart numbness is also the hardest. Go into your numbness and be with your numbness. Then, from time to time as the numbness breaks --even if only momentarily -- go into your pain and be with your pain. Ride the cycles of your heart and the rise and fall of your numbness and pain like wavesurfing...roll with it and do not fight it. If it seems unbearable, stay with it as long as possible before releasing. Try riding the wave every time it presents itself. Then also try to be patient with yourself and take all opportunities to nurture yourself.

Remember eventually the shore will come into view. Perhaps repeatedly.
And eventually the tears will surface and you will see the pain and the sorrow as a great blessing...as the mark of your full humanity and the ability to feel once more.

Anytime, but especially once your feelings and your emotional strength begin to return, I strongly urge a short but powerful meditation and healing session with the guides, as often as needed. All the archangels do this particularly well. Ask Raphael for anything relating to healing...and particularly for illumination on the nature of love (i.e., the nature of reality and of All that Is)...which is what comprises the heart on all levels, down to the physical. For expanding the hard or unforgiving heart, you can ask Michael. For strengthening the fearful or weak heart, you can ask Gabriel. For hope and transformation, you can ask Uriel.

Wonderful post as always, 7L I've been experiencing a lot of heart pain and tension and I've been trying to ride the waves just as you described, and it does work - as you say, patience is key, and it's by no means easy, but my heart feels quite a bit better already

I've never tried asking guides for help with healing, I'm going to ask Gabriel for the help when I meditate next

Opening of the heart chakra is a different experience for different people. There is often a lot of emotional release that happens, but also there can be physical pain. In my case, it was rather dramatic. After years of meditation, I had two experiences of tremendous pain in the center of my chest. These experiences were separated by years, and both times occurred while I was at work. The pain was so overwhelming that I fell to the floor and couldn't move for 20 - 30 minutes. Just paralyzed with pain.

Both times I was taken to the hospital, fearing I was having a heart attack. However, the doctors ran various tests and said that it could not have been a heart attack. They didn't know what it was. Later, after doing some reading, I began to become convinced that it was my heart chakra opening. This was confirmed for me around the time of my second chest pain experience when I began to have very deep, very blissful meditations in which the bliss was centered on the center of my chest, just radiating out from there. The bliss was so strong at times it would bring tears to my eyes, tears of gratitude. This went on for about a year, and then started to settle down. After this time, the bliss never completely left me. It is stronger at some times and less at others, but it's always there. By shifting my attention inward, or when I'm engaged in helping others, it tends to be magnified.

Blissful. Endless pouring of beautiful loving energy. The words "light and love" couldn't be more expressive.

I also remember what it felt like working through the blockage. The pain was very intense, I would have to hold my chest with my hand just to ease the ache, it felt like my chest was breaking. I eventually went on to have bronchitis. I almost feel whatever gunk was disposed from the bronc was in part of clearing/cleansing dead or pent up energy. Similarly, I also would hold my heart/chest area during the bliss stages too. The sensations are very powerful.

I like Gabriel, he is good for offering direction & guidance. I found his energy to be a lot more calm and serious. I also love Archangel Michael, if you ever call on him, he has a very soft and loving energy. I like 7's example of riding the emotions like waves. The process really is the stripping away of the former self/ identities we cling on to. Unfortunately, It really doesn't feel good when the stripping is actually happening lol However, I feel the reward in the process is becoming stronger and more balanced

Cripes, I'm really not relishing the task of clearing out my heart chakra, reading other people's experiences (and going off my own - I can relate to that agonising pain in the middle of the heart, I felt that the other day!) Better to experience momentary excruciating pain than to go through life never really living, though I should think you're right, too, the bronchitis was likely connected to the blockage clearing, I'm sure it can have all sorts of knock-on effects!

Hmm, I might call on Michael, in that case, I think soft and loving is probably what I need atm! Yeah the stripping process isn't pleasant, but the benefits far outweigh the pain you feel as it's happening
