The higher path however is the denyal of "Ego", including the carnal and sensual, in a, "Construct", of a temporary and illusory paradigm, regarding,

You cannot be born a witch you can be born a Hereditary Witch like myself or born with gifts but that doesnt mean your a Witch it takes great practise and learning who you are to become a Witch unless this is another American Wiccan thing?.

Most of the Wiccans I have met require different levels of initiation.

However--I have hereditary Gifts and have been a practicing Solitary for (11) Wheels-of-the-Year. I believe my path to be guided by Spirit and believe that this can happen to others (as well).

Do you believe someone must belong to a coven and be taught by someone else in order to perform Magick?

Covens are not necessary to carry out "magic" and being taught by someone else is like learning to cook from printed recipes. You can maybe make sandwiches but you will never be a cordon-bleu chef ! Craft is a mental discipline. You learn by trial and error, and long experience

I believe "Gifts" and The Craft or Wiccan is 3 different entity's. There are Witches who has no spiritual gifts except for the magic they weave.
Some do not even want gifts. Having a spiritual gift does not make you a Witch or Wiccan it make you someone who has a paranormal gift. I learned Magick the old way it was taught and passed down. Spells were taught natural remedies paying respect to the wee folk, I don't think perhaps you need this sort of net to catch you when you fall flat on your face. But as long as you are fully aware and attune to your casting and who you are not who you wish to be you'll be lead down the proper path. I mean maybe me and Norse was sent here to show you a path? who's to say? Just be safe never cast while angry or sad or any kind of negative emotion just be who you are and you should be fine if you listen hard enough.
For a newby I do recommend a coven however they can teach you a lot more.

I already have my path. I was only trying to understand your thoughts and feelings on the subject.

Np it really wasnt meant for you Norse asked my opinion on the subject. Good to see you have a path. and I expressed my thoughts and feeling clearly as I could. No you cannot be born a Witch, Witchery is a way of life a path a learning experiance not something that just happens when you pop out of your Mum. How does a wee Wane just born know its a Witch when its a taught craft?.. We all have choices even Wanes when they understand a little more.
