Suffering..

If you suffer in this life - does this lead to spiritual growth?

Perhaps you have an illness or a disability and life is a struggle.

Or perhaps you are bullied by your peers.

I suspect that almost everything we do, for the most part, leads to spiritual growth, including taking the wrong path in life. We learn from mistakes as much as from our success... or perhaps for from our mistakes. Suffering can lead to spiritual growth, but I do question those who purposely bring suffering upon themselves with the thought that it will bring spiritual growth.

However, I do not think suffering is necessary for spiritual growth, nor called for.

I think suffering does lead to spiritual growth but one needs to find meaning in it.
