A worthy endeavor! They are out there.
When sitting with them, whether in a audience or a small room - if they can transport you
to an 'altered state', let's say...they are the real deal.
MY take, for what it's worth...otherwise they may have an accent and are very very kind and gentle ---but
what they offer are pretty words.
And you can get VERY high sitting in Sat Sang...not the same thing.
You may have to go to them, hope you have the time and money.
Most of the people that are nay-sayers usually have never had a teacher, Guru or their Darshan. (Cuz wow, I mean wow.)
Uma and petetzen and I are a some here that have - and a couple others.
Hope they see your thread. 
A discipline you could get involved in in the USA could be the SRF or the Ananda organization...
until you find someone ...learn and practice Kriya Yoga techniques, a form of Raja Yoga.
Easily found online.
Have you investigated Sadhguru, alive today? And Mooji, Gangaji, Adyashanti , Sri Vasudeva, Amma, to get a feel?
There are many more. Many descended down from Ramana Maharshi.

Even if you were to find one such as you describe, the path to that state is uniquely their own.
Your life itself is the teacher you seek.

The Premise already is that You are Teaching yourself Through all the Concepts that PERmit by the Teachings of Anybody Else, What kishore Wanted, was someone Guiding HIM, This takes another PERson, Not everybody is Enlighten or Right for it; so You Reject by Basis. Another Thing is, It's EASY to GIVE SOMEONE GUIDANCE, tougher to MOSt to help them. It takes More then Words to help, Parents Don't Teach it, i am not Taught of my Parents more then was Establish to be, So i Enlighten Myself By Basis of My Karma; To Some it is not able to, so by their Meekness and Humbleness i Convey Obied-ige. Learn, What Else; To not base Enlightenment on Society; For it is (A Spiritual) matter, NOT A SEcular.

It's not too hard to find a teacher. Finding someone who is a 'master' is also not that impossible. However, recognizing them unless you are nearly a master yourself is another story.
Of the advanced people I know personally, none are going to take a personal interest unless you show some sincerity. Starting with 'I want, I want' is not the way to go. You didn't even hint as to why you should want to find one.

It is up to you to be able to find your own path.Look to others for guidance only.
