What do you consider the angels to be?

So, I've been wondering about angels, and the appropriateness of working with them. The ones that are mainstream come from a faith that is not open to outside views. Which makes me curious.

For those who believe that every spiritual being from every religion exists from a singular source, do you believe angels are servitors, or beings of their own right? And how much do you believe these beings may be aware of what else is going on spiritually?

Do deities and other beings change through the centuries? Or when we work with a non traditional form of e being do we in effect create a new being?

I want to share a story from a Christian and Sorcerer discussion from youtube. The Christian used to be a New Ager, and he worked with angels and such, and when he asked them if they would recognize the true god of the bible, or something like that, they shuttered and flickered and then started terrorizing him. He had to get an exorcism.

The Sorcerer had suspected the New Age angels are actually demons, as in the traditional Greek sense, where demons are a wide array of spiritual beings both good and evil.

And this is curious to me, why the reaction would happen. Of course how knows how honest the guy is being in the first place. But if he were, I wonder if the different religious beings do react to each other in aggressive ways, such as to get food (worship) from us? If they are servitors this would make sense.

I don't know. I mean what do you think of angels as being? How do you view their existence and place in the universe? And do you think it is appropriate to work with a traditional spiritual being that belongs to a religion that is not open to other religions? (assuming your not of the Judeo-Christian branch).

For those of you that don't know, a servitor is basically a self created entity that fulfills a specific function. And to look at all spiritual beings as servitors is to say we put our thoughts, emotions, and energy into them and made them real beings.

perhaps angles are a frequency of energy that is attainable to any entity that resonates with that particular frequency.

I think a bit the same as Tracey. They have a purpose and I do not think all of them are connected on the same level. As far as I know from spirits I spoke to religion is not important after death. It is about a great connection mainly in energy. There is no God or something alike in the world after this. There is also no discussion about it on that level. But.....that is just what I understood as non religious person.
