A long time ago one of my co-workers told me he had an NDE where he saw his entire life flashing before his eyes and that he felt he was being ''judged'' by a higher being. He told me after that he changed and started helping people.

I don't know what it feels like to die, however, what I can say w/great confidence is when I received an ADC from my husband I believe I was feeling his death experience ...
I was overcome w/peace, joy, love & excitement, I also felt like I was floating in light ...
I received the ADC while at home at the time of his death, he died miles away on the freeway ...
Seems to me, death is such a wonderful experience, desirous in every way possible, it eliminates fear ...

I noticed something similar when my mother was dying. There was an atmosphere of great love. Really warm love.

I have a shared death experience during this time too. She was unable to talk in her last months, but I am certain she must have had experiences if she was able to talk about them.

I recall after she died, that I was terrified of life, as if I had an NDE, and wanted to be in the light.

As for the original question, the act of death is painless, and sometimes occurs before the body actually completes its death act. For example in a car accident, or in the hospital under treatment.

We simply go back home. Our home is one of love, we incarnate on earth to learn and play. It is logical to treat our fellow incarnates with compassion, which is why cruelty towards them is frowned upon. Would any parent do any different? But our parents still love us. It is a similar notion to meeting spiritual elders.

Before I was born, my dad drowned and was able to be brought back to life. He doesn't remember much of it, but he has told me that after panicking for a bit, he felt relaxed. I heard that he was at these golden gates that were made of some kind of ropey material and he was angry because they kept on telling him to go back. A psychic told him that the purpose of the event was to rewrite his contract with God and he'll remember more of it when he's ready.

Having had a heart attack and NDE, I can only give my experience about "dying". First, there is no such thing as death. What we call 'dying' is like waking up from a dream.

This dimension/reality/physical world is not the reality of existence...that other place where consciousness goes after the body "dies" is the reality of existence. We don't realize it until after we make that 'journey'. This is what I learned from my NDE.

Life continue forever, but it is in an other plane of existence. There are many many people who had NDE and talk about their profund spiritual experience and feeling unconditionally loved and accepted such as Anita Moorjani, Dannion Brinkley, Betty J Eddie, Gregg Braden...

I can only speak for myself here, i have had three NDE none were painful.it would depend if there there is pain on the cause of death i do know that pain lifts before death.
my mother had Myotonic Dystrophy type 2 (proms ) it wasnt known at the time we only found out after she passed.my cousin passed through it last year aged 60.
nobody knew what it was because its not known in the uk.it is more prominant in the usa,its a form of muscular dystrophy. my family hail from the states.my mother was in awful pain no amount of pain relief worked.then suddenly the pain was gone she got out of bed walked about.the doctors in the hospital couldnt believe it.
i looked at her and i knew she wouldnt go home she passed the next day she was pain free.
i have seen it happen before just before death if there is pain it lifts,so not all deaths are painful
