Can EFT help for test anxiety?

I'll be starting nursing college in two weeks.I am excited, but I know I am prone to major test anxiety. When I first started college again two years ago, it was a rough start because my anxiety would kick in. It's more like MAJOR fear. If a teacher asked me a question, my mind would simply go blank. I had to take CPR class a few weeks ago. I knew the stuff, but when it came my turn or he'd ask a question even if I knew it.... I flatlined. I'm terrified that I will blank out in nursing. I had to bust my butt to get all A's after a rocky start in 3 classes. I made Dean's List, but honestly, I am a nervous wreck that I will flounder. I have a tendency to get a major inferiority complex if around certain types of people. Any help, suggestions, advice? I want to excel and cast off the fear, and the anxiety and the inferiority complex. How can EFT help, and again, any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

(PS, one doctor gave me a prescription for xanax. I keep it for emergencies, but it doesn't always work)...and I'd prefer not to take it if I can help it.

Absolutely, EFT can help. Find an EFT practitioner and work with him/her for a session or two. This will be much more effective than trying to do it on your own.

EFT Very Good For These Issues

Sure. Tap something like, I AM prepared & capable. Always keep the affirmation in the positive & present. Tapping, I AM getting ... . will result in this always being OUT OF REACH.

EFT is great for setting goals.

One can do EFT very easily w/o professional help. It’s not hard to learn. It is OK to get professional help is one is so inclined though. There are very thorough manuals about this.

The free information in the below link is more than sufficient.

If you are interested in finding an EFT practitioner, use an Internet search engine & put in EFT & your city. Or call therapists & ask if they teach EFT.

I’ve seen several people deal w/ anxiety. One got hooked on the Xanex & finally has his dr. cut him off. He got overly dependent on it. It actually worsened his anxiety.

Someone else w/ very severe anxiety used multiple neurotransmitter supplements to get off of Paxil which they hated. They couldn’t have stopped the Paxil w/o other support. After a year of using 4 neutrotransmitter supplements he was able to taper off & has not been using any supplements for about 6 months. One of the ones he used was L ‘Theanine, the calming portion of green tea. It is used as needed, just takes the edge off of anxiety, & isn’t habit forming as it isn’t a euphoric like Xanex.
This isn’t medical advice or a diagnosis.

Fear is often caused because we have poor self esteem & a lack of TRUST in our self. You are in control of your energies & can move your self out of this state if you choose. Many have moved into being empowered & having a healthy self esteem & SO CAN YOU.

I think my sil gave me a small bottle of that. I tried it on occasion. Maybe I should check it out again. Xan is wonderful, I think probably thinks I'm hopeless as I can't seem to focus lately. I'm doing better. I'll have to re-read some of her posts and read those I've not gotten to yet.

Thank you, so much, Mattie. I'm going to read these. I've not yet. I post and forget where I posted. Pathetic I know. I had three days of orientation for college and the first day I came home and vomited. While I was/am excited, sometimes the nerves take over. Second day I was very excited about school. Third day same, but anxiety started to rear its ugly head again. Now it's sunday and school starts tomorrow evening (I'm in the evening program)...I am feeling fear and anxiety, but I don't want it to take hold. I want to succeed badly. thank you so much again.

Search on the web. However, when I say practitioner here I mean a person who is reasonably familiar with the practice, can work on the set-up statement with you and who is able to lead you through a session. Leading is not so much different to doing it on your own, i.e. it is not difficult, but it will generate verbal input slightly different to what you would create and will therefore open up other aspects of the problem.

Good luck.
