"Medical Medium" by Anthony William

Has anyone posted about this book? (Forgive me if they have.) He gets medical information via a spirit talking to him. I tried just one of the things mentioned in the book for shingles and it took the pain away. I couldn't believe it!

If anyone's interested, you might want to check out the book. It covers many illnesses, some are: Epstein-Barr, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, hypoglycemia, adrenal fatigue, candida, migraines, colitis, tmj, attention deficit, autism, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, and lyme disease.

The full title of the book is: "Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal."

I have not read it but I would advice anyone with a medical issue to see your doctor first

Native Spirit, thanks for saying to see a doctor first. You're right!

Guess since I've had a few "mystery illnesses," and am going through one right now, I forgot to mention seeing a doctor first.

Interesting. What is his recommendation for post traumatic stress?

Sorry, I don't have the book with me (I use public computers). I'll try to look it up soon. (So far, I've only read large sections of the book.) And maybe someone else with the book would like to help?

In the meantime, perhaps his website or youtube videos might tell about PTSD? It'll be interesting to find out.

Only had time to skim the first few pages of the PTSD chapter. He focuses more on "hidden PTSD" -- the situations that people don't usually think of as genuine PTSD -- like going through something during the day but it has an impact where your thoughts and behaviors change because of it.

Hmmm, kind of wish he also tackled the big PTSD stuff, but I haven't read the whole chapter yet. Maybe the big stuff's in there.

I hope you like it! It's hard to stop reading the book. Sure is outside-the-box type of stuff. Has lots of information about healing properties of many foods/herbs/supplements -- definately handy to keep on file.

Thanks for coming back on that. If you do get to see what he recommends for the 'big stuff' which is what I'm dealing with it'd be much appreciated.

I agree with Native spirit. It would be different to contact someone who claimed they received help from Spirit over the phone or from instructions in a book, if the doctors were stumped, and couldn't reach a diagnosis. And if regular drug therapies are either -not working or not suiting or creating awful side effects -then there are so many alternative treatments for many things, from qualified practitioners, Naturopathic doctors, etc.

But my feeling is always look at all sides of a claim such as that which Anthony William makes. Use your Heart and intuition, and research fully. That doesn't mean being "negative" and it doesn't mean being uncritically "positive" either, but rather, looking at the whole picture.

I came upon this rather sad story by the mother of a little boy with a genetic defect:

However, some have reported wonderful results. To be fair.

I saw the lady's post about her son, before I got Anthony's book. Yeah, the mediums who've been on a few tv shows do hike up the price ($500 for 30 minutes). But the supplements Anthony talks about sometimes takes months to produce any results from getting rid of heavy metals in the body (I think). So awful though, the lady's son died 48 days after starting the supplements, from a random febrile seizure. The lady even said she went from doctor to doctor making sure the supplements weren't the cause of her son's death, and every doctor assured her it was not the supplements at all. So, I wonder if her son would've had success with the supplements if he'd been on them for a long time, but the lady doesn't mention that.

But the "feel" of her post seems like she's blaming Anthony for her son's death, by being a fraud and not being a good enough medium to know about the upcoming death. She doesn't mention that sometimes spirit withholds information about certain things.

Some of the replies, at the end of the lady's post, talk about how Anthony saved them from horrible illnesses.

Anthony saved me from the intense burning and stinging of long lines of nerves from having Shingles. (The pain initially went away when doctors gave me medicines that had really bad side effects. After the course of medicines, the pain came back. Miraculously, I'd bought Anthony's book while taking the medicines. So, when the pain came back, I tried the L-lysine which Anthony talked about, and with only one pill a day, it took away the pain. (A little heartburn flared up, but antacids took care of that.) So, Anthony saved me from going through another round of bad side effects from those prescription medications. Since L-lysine is an over-the-counter pill, it worked right away (versus being a supplement for heavy metals).

I really don't think the lady's son was on the supplements long enough to know if they would have worked. I feel awful about her son dying though. But her post seems pretty unfair towards Anthony (just my opinion).
