A sign a new age of peace is dawning?
I read this study today.

It proves that not only are peaceful non violent struggles more likely to succeed in overthrowing dictatorships than violent ones but that this difference in likelihood has been growing steadily with time since the 50s (prior to which violent methods were more likely to succeed).
Also only 3.5 % of the population is considered as the tipping point to overthrow a government. And if it crosses that 3.5% it is much more likely that it will be a peaceful overthrow. |

Hey great thread topic! I watched the TED talk a few days back and have been meaning to post...it was really quite good, and very informative.
I certainly hope this is the way of the future
