Forgetting to remember.

I know myself well,
"I" thought.
In moments of not thinking I liked myself more.
How strange, I thought.
In moments of clarity - "I" wasn't here, "I" was replaced by myself.
Myself was so much more comfortable than "I" had been.
I wish "I" would disappear and leave myself alone.I thought.
What a stupid thought, i thought.
But how can "I" get lost?
The more "I" try to forget the harder it is to forget.
"I" am confused, I thought.
In the confusion I forgot to remember who "I" was.
It was in the forgetting that I remembered - I am myself!!
It was so obvious, how funny that I didn't see it before although I knew it all along.
Forget to remember it's as simple as this.
Forget to remember it's as difficult as that.
Forget to remember it's as simple as it is difficult.
