I am going to tell a true story of what happened to me. It wasn't an NDE or was it? I was about 22 years old and wasn't what I would call very religious.
I was driving a tractor trailer semi and I was going real slow up a hill. Another truck passed me by. In a few minutes I was then coming down the hill. It was early morning and the fog was so thick it was really hard to see anything 50 ft. in front of me. I thought I saw something but I thought the fog was playing tricks on me. Then I saw the tail lights of the truck that had just passed me.
The closer I got I was able to see what was in front of me. I was now standing on my brake pedal. There was a line of vehicles in my lane and they were stopped. I wasn't going to be able to stop in time. As I was standing on my brakes I went into the oncoming lane to keep from hitting the stopped cars. I also noticed why the cars were stopped. There was low boy tractor trailer was blocking all lanes as he was backing up to a side road.
I looked in my driver mirror and I saw my trailer was jack knifed and the wheels were off the road and throwing mud from the tires sliding sideways in the soft berm of the road. About that same moment that I see the road is blocked and I have no where to go I noticed a miniature Jesus sitting relaxed on my shoulder. He said we are going to get through this.
I saw the people around the low boy start moving real fast and just as I approached and would have hit the truck it very quickly backed off the road and I steered on past them.
I was climbing the next hill and the truck that had passed me before and had been sitting in the line of cars was again passing me. He looked at me and shook his head like what the heck is the matter with you? I thought yeah dude I did all that because I didn't want to wait in line with all the others.
That little Jesus I do believe got me through the ordeal. Everything fell into action that nobody was hurt or worse. Was that my guarding angel on my shoulder? Imagination or what, all I know is I saw and heard it speak to me.
