A plan do know what cannot be taught

I am currently on a seekers path and looking for insight. My belifs tend to focus towards native american idealogy and notice that it is about time for my quest. I need to know, or hear, any advise or thought on how I should obtain this goal.

There are alot of ways to get to your goal, the one that works most for me is looking into the history. Find out what there is to learn about this culture and read loads of stuff about it. Not all would be true though, there for you must follow your own intuition that guides you to the truth in these works you are reading at that point. Your own heart would tell you what is right and what is wrong. So just follow that, there are some nice things you can find about this culture also things they use these days for healing, it's a very popular way of living actually.
The thing that always got my attention is the shamanistic believes :)
