How do you find out what is your spirit animal ?

Hi DoctorStrange. It has been my experience that one doesn't find his/her spirit animal, but rather a spirit animal that is aligned with a person finds that person. It does this by appearing either in person, on repetitious TV programs, in songs, in dreams, in ones thoughts, feelings, intuition. The raven found me through repeated signs and synchronicity; so much so that I could no longer ignore it.

Different spirit or totem animals can bond with one at different times in a lifetime. So it can happen that one that is had today, may be an entirely different animal next year.

I believe one doesn't have to seek out, but rather just step back and listen to the inner callings that nudge at ones soul.

In a manner of speaking I sought out deer but it was as an animal to be hunted and eaten. Whiie I was doing that deer was apparently also hunting me out as a spirit guide. I would never tell someone else it is wrong for them to hunt deer. so long as it is done with respect and her spirit is thanked for the sacrifice, and I was not wrong at the time I shot the doe, but it would cause me very bad spiritual turmoil to do so now that deer has revealed itself to me. Of course I ate that last doe. Not to have eaten her after killing her would have been an insult to her spirit.
I believe we are not in touch with an individual animal but with the oversoul of that animal, what the Nanina would refer to as, "Deer in the sky".
