Dolphin Love Nebula

The real name is the ‘Great Nebula In Orion’ or M42, but it looks like a dolphin at the lower left corner of a heart shape. The dolphin's take fades into the dust cloud.

I can see the face of a little bear or something similar :-) In the brown part next to the blue, in the middle, towards the left.

I see what you're describing. It's the top of the head.

Also in the top right of the red heart a horse head emerges. I see the ears & left eye w/ the nose going into a red swirly cloud in the center. The dark area on the extreme right looks like its mane.

Oh, I see the horse!

I can see a bird poised in flight, with the big red bloom above as it's strange looking wings.

Still can't see the dolphin though.

Can't see Greybeards naked lady either lol

Dolphin Love Nebula is the name I crafted for it because of what I thought it looked like. The 2 names that NASA uses are the ‘Great Nebula In Orion’ or M42.

Two Butterfly Nebula pics from the NASA site. It's beautiful.

See my reply ‘Not The Formal Name’ to Apakhana Akshobhya. It’s the butterfly nebula. The butterfly name is apt.

Thanks Mattie,

The pictures are beautiful, to me the butterfly one is sort of mesmerising.
I realised about the name, good job!
