I am trying to understand what Jesus ( or whoever wrote the verse) was pointing to. If heaven is a state of mind which I personally feel it is then the verse makes sense but I am a bit confused Had Jesus reached Nirvana but not Parinirvana when he stated this? Help.... please. It's in my head but it's coming out scrambled, I can't make sense of my own thoughts lol.

i think Jesus was referring to paradise. 'Glory' is a word associated with paradise in Jewish thought. He is calling us to that same place too. Since the world was created later, he draws the distinction between the states of the two. I think heaven is a state of mind in the sense that your state of mind is influenced by where you are and where you think reality is.

You seem to know more about Hinduism than I do. In the Bible you will find multiple teachings from Jesus and others referring to Reincarnation / Rebirth / Kamma / The Wheel of life etc: so you could say Jesus followed Hinduism /Buddhism/ Jainism or like I do say that all great Master think alike

You are stubbornly ignoring the point that 1 billion Christians don't think Christ was a 'great master'...

To many to post so you can use the internet yourself to read these teachings. I will start you off....
The Book of Ecclesiastes describes life as a cycle and teaches reincarnation,
Book of James, there is a reference to this cycle as the "wheel of birth" which is another reference to reincarnation,
Reaping and sowing - Kamma,
" Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap "
" Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’”
Reincarnation and Kamma.

I do as do many others including Luke.
" And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? "

He has existed eternally, just as the Father has. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Verse 14 tells how he became a man. "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Jesus knew he was sent from Heaven by his Father. he was with Jehovah God ,( Exo. 6:3). and they both created everything ,( Gen. 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:...). see also ( Pro.8:22-30 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there, when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him).
