Prayer and fasting
Please, I have a question about prayer and fasting. When you pray and fast, say a dry fast. Do you not have anything until the end of the fast on that day or say it is a 3 day prayer and fast, do you not have anything at all for the 3 days? Thank you

CF, if it is a 3 day fast then it means all of the 3 days. But seriously I wouldn't recommend anyone fasting for 3 days as it would be extremely dangerous for your body. Please don't do it....

I would say Pray first about the fast. There may be situations or events that make it hard or impossible to fast. Spirit knows and spirit is gentle.
I would not put pass or fail on a fast. Grow closer to Spirit and less dependent on flesh is the goal.
That's just how I approach fasting.
Go into it slowly and gentle and you may want to increase in time.
Please don't try to drive while fasting.
Start with only liquids if new to fasting.
If ending a fast small amounts of easily digestible foods, baby foods work well or something like that. (soups, fruits, what ever works for you)

The Bible contains no rules about how we must fast. Sometimes people fast by abstaining from all food and water. Some fast consist of giving up certain foods. Here is how Daniel once fasted. "In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks. I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks." (Daniel 10:2,3) Obviously if you are going to fast for three weeks you can't completely give up food and water.

There are various ways of fasting. But the essence of fasting and prayer comes from the book Isaiah chapter 58.

Fasting is ingaging
Prayer is yes a key to fasting. You will be humbled and you mind will find new areas. You can fast how you want and latter go further. It's very meditative.
