40 days

This thought has been on my mind lately, like to know what others may think about it. ( This question just for those that believe there was actually a " Jesus of Nazareth " , from the bible, did actually exist here on earth )

After Jesus died, and was resurrected, he remained on earth ( physical plane ) for forty days, before He ascended.

Question: Does anyone think maybe, after our death, our " astral body " hangs around for 40 days? Jesus did it, with his physical body, and, while He was here for those 40 days, he could disappear, go through walls, etc., kinda like those that astral project, and are able to go anywhere in their astral body

Now, the jump would be, do you think it's possible, not only for our astral body to hang around for 40 days, but, to maybe show it to those still alive, like Jesus did?

Keep in mind, there are those, that tell of experiences where their loved ones who passed on, reappeared to them, within days or weeks after passing.

As best as i can remember it rained on Noah's ark for around 40 days and nights also . That number may have some other meaning in the Bible . In the Tibeten book of the dead there is a peorid of time a soul hangs around , I dont remember what that time is .

40 is an important number in one way I am aware of. During the Black Plague (1348-1350) in medieval Europe, travelers and refugees arriving at any city would be held isolated for 40 days before allowed in past the main gates. Those who were infected had thus time enough to develop their sickness to the visible stage. Which, of course, was soon followed by death. Those who were still not visibly sick after that time, were allowed in. It might seem harsh, but it is estimated that between 30 and 60 percent of Europe's population died from the Black Plague.

And now you know where the word quarantine comes from. It is latin for the number 40.
