As the lifespan increases population growth will become a real challenge for humanity.
The more people there are the more trees will be cut down to clear land to farm, build housing, etc.
The more trees that are cut down the more our eco-system will be effected.

When I was born there were 4-billion people in this world now that number has almost doubled.
What about jobs for all these people, healthcare, etc. What happens when the world population
reaches 16-billion?

The human body is not immortal as a physical vehicle; cells in our body are dying and being born
every day, and the older we get more cells die than are being born. The aging process can not be halted;
everything changes. Change is said to be the only constant in the physical universe.

Personally, I would not want to live here on earth hundreds of years, it is mind boggling what I have
witnessed here on earth in 70-years You have to keep adjusting to the changing times, what incoming
generations are doing, their mindset, cultural changes, and changing values, etc.

Which spirits are you referring to?

I assume the spirits will be fine.
Many creation stories talk about a time of immortality so I assume that things will
become as they were meant to BE in the beginning before this time of
doubt,fear and disease.

Dark and negative spirits may have a problem.

That would put a really interesting spin on things, now wouldn't it..

I think we would ultimately become unhappy (?). After a while you've seen much, perhaps too much..
What would you still need in order to feel anything, pain or pleasure, if you've tried all that is available..?

What does it mean to be physically immortal? Not ageing..? Could you still die from a severe injury..?
If so then you can also see loved ones die.. and then you are left alone for an eternity..

This question you raise makes me think of vampire fiction and a number of video games characters. :-)
