What is the opposite of love?

Love is (Love and Joy are) the Essence (the Source, or source-code if you wish) of all Life.
It has is no 'opposite', just as in the case of 'darkness' which is merely the absence of 'light'. The idea of its 'absence' being its 'opposite', may sometimes be a useful concept/construct, just as in the case of 'imaginary numbers' in the field of mathematics.
For the same 'reason', there is also no such thing ( really, that is) as 'Death' (though, of course, a 'soul' may 'abdicate' 'love' and so cease to exist as such).
Same pertains to 'Being' - there is only 'being' - ' non-being' and ' nothing' are just ghost-constructs which do not really exist. |

Hate is a negative emotion. Love is the positive opposite.

Hmmmm......... interesting take on it.
What would be some examples of things that have opposites? Other than perhaps the dimensions of spacetime. |

Hate is the 'spirit' of Love that is 'directed' for 'negative' (i.e. destructive) purposes. 'Haters' love to hate.  |

The idea of there being 'opposites' is a very misleading one IMO. I suggest you start thinking in terms of 'polarities' if you want to sort things out 'in truth'. |

Hate is a negative emotion same as fear and anger. Negativity is bad for your health. It's best to express positive emotions. |
