Anyone on the verge of leaving Christianity? For nothing or another religion.

I'm thinking about it as it is not working for me.

I have never regarded myself as Christian & nor have I visited a church for the purpose of hearing sermons etc.
& do not keep the company of religious people.

However though i do live my life as loving as can with as much humility that I can bring forth in every trying moment.
With thoughts towards receiving God's love & very essence & the Newbirth of Soul'self.

And have no personal use for a bible. Because living a lifestyle of love, mercy & humility with a view towards the New birth, is the Heavenly Fathers way of love & that is all that is nessesary.

That's right.

candyfloss, I'm no longer Christian, but I love so many things
that are tried and true
from the Bible and how can ya not love, respect and admire Jesus?
There are so many other things that reveal things other than just
'Once Saved, Always Saved'..or the Goal being Heaven after death.
Profound wisdom and insights are available from different sources other than
the traditional Christian beliefs, (and/or misinterpretations).

Religions are so regimented and have so many things you can disagree with...what I did
at a younger age was study, research everything I could get my hands on...test whatever you can.
Get clear what it is you want...is it just peace, peace of mind?
Or do you want your heart to soar? There are ways for both. :)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I left the faith after I grew up and had the ability to study other beliefs and mistry schools and came to the conclusion that it would be beyond crazy for me to not leave the faith

I prefer to be a chameleon when it comes to religions.

I've left Christianity several years ago and right now I'm leaning more towards the atheistic and anti-theist side. However, sometimes I struggle with being an atheist because there are a few things I'm open minded about which would be considered ''heresy'' in the atheist community.

well Candy, would you feel ok to share some of the issues and things pulling you in that direction, or holding you back? this might give others something to say to help (or hinder!) but if not you've every right not to say more, very personal thing after all
maybe some have gone through similar and can relate
I know I struggled with certain doctrines and couldn't stay if I had to believe everything I was supposed to so I questioned and believe some things I am not supposed to. in the end I found that strengthened my resolve to stay as a Christian, although on the less acceptable outlying reaches of it

If you genuinely have this issue, I believe that asking for input on the internet is a wrong way to go.

Only you, with your inner guidance could really help you.
