I would have said the term is self-explanatory (uh...what's self-explanatory?" ) so if it isn't, a useful exercise would be sessions of contemplation until it is.

According to the definitions here, I've always been self-realised and yet never realised a self.
Self-unrealisation = when one stops trying to create - oops, I mean realise self, and is just being a person whatever they are doing.

Where to start..
Most simply it's an expansion of awareness into your true Self, a recognition that we are that which we seek (Self/God). We become one with everything and see how things really are, outside the limited perception of our egos. It's a tearing down of the veils of illusion and an unlocking of freedom that most could only dream of.

I used to be self realized when my best friend was in my life. It was like I could see inside others and feel their being, as well as being aware of my own inner 'light' so to speak. It was great. Much love.

You used to be.. or you had the experience? From my own understanding and own experience once one becomes Self-realized they stay Self-realized.
