Is it possible for light to enter its own self?
It does not sound possible to me, yet that is what self realisation seems to be encouraging or attempting.
Light is a force and power which shines OUTWARDS. Not INWARDS.
How can light enter itself like I AM enters its own self?

Well I'm not sure it is metaphoric. "Go within" "God is within" "Innerlight" "Self attention" "The Inner I" all refer to the act of going inwards to find the God who lies at ones source.
You are displaying double standards. First you suggest God is I AM and to be found Within and then you suggest that it is all a metaphor!
That is ludicrous. It is also not fair. That is the first time EVER I have heard I AM described as a metaphor.

Or are you trying to say that I AM does not refer to anything; it is just a name given to being aware of unity and oneness? It is just a LABEL?
Directions given to reaching enlightnment don't really help either. They are just guidelines.

So in a sense enlightenment IS NOT a state whereby one starts trying to ENTER anything?
