Dynamic Meditation (OSHO)
I recently learned of "Dynamic Meditation" which was made popular by Osho.
This type of meditation has 5 stages. 1) Breathing chaotically through the nose (emphasizing exhalation) 2) "Acting Out your inner madness" (shaking, punching, flailing, screaming, crying, laughing) 3) Continuously jumping and landing flat on your feet while shouting "Hoo!" 4) Standing tranquil, or laying tranquil 5) Dance and rejoice
*All this should be done as though you are just the observer of all these manifestations
If you have never heard of this type of meditation I highly suggest you look into it. It's also noted that you should do each of these for 10 minutes each but a beginner might start out with maybe only a few minutes for each stage. What you want to focus on is releasing the locked/trapped emotions inside your body. The body holds a lot of the physical manifestations of our thoughts and memories. This is like a clearance so you can live without these emotions holding power over you. Ultimately, it's about gaining awareness of your body and seeing that the "body is the mind".
I recently started to experiment with this practice and I can already see benefits of it. I think the purpose of this is so we can stop the excessive thinking that is associated with negative emotions. We need positive emotions and this can really change how you see yourself.

This is a wonderful way to do meditation; I saw Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) back in the late 1970's when he was giving darshan,
and he was a rather gregarious character with a lot of love. What you are speaking about reminds me of the book "Holy Madness,"
which is about "Spiritual, Crazy Wise Teachers, and Enlightenment.
Here is a link to the contents page of "Holy Madness."

In this book Osho is portrayed as a "Divine Philosopher."

Hi, Timeless
What are some of the benefits that you have noticed since practicing this form of meditation? It sounds interesting.
