Astral projection experiences

The first time I astral projected I thought I had died. I felt my spirit leave my body. Like I was lying in bed and I felt some vibrations I raised up. I paid close attention to detail. I could see my arms and I could touch and feel things. I have practiced and can almost astral project anytime I want. One experience I've had I walked up these stairs that dont exist in my bedroom and a black shadow figure came walking towards me, which scared me so I ran back to my body. I've also floated right above my body and heard voices and strange laughter.. Almost like a joker laugh. I felt my feet being pulled and I screamed and woke up in my body. I've had few beautiful experiences where I walked up stairs and came into this beautiful colorful house. I also went to this city and there was a door. Some people and I were standing outside and I asked, "where is this place?" And someone said "that's where you go when you die." I've had one sexual experience while astral projecting. It's like everytime I astral project I wake up in my room but its all distorted and there is always a door that isn't there. I also astral projected and while I was in paralysis waved my hands in front of me. My hands and arms looked see through like I could see my invisible spirit. Since astral projecting has anyone's life dramatically changed? I feel more in tune with myself and others. I've gotten into new age spiritualism and have found answers to questions no one used to be able to answer.

Misskristie, I think you've had some amazing and interesting experiences.
It's pretty typical that the first place out-of-body experiences usually lead us to is the Real Time Zone (next plane to the physical) There are nearly always some anomalies and distortions on this plane, that don't seem to make much sense. Might seem weird, but it's pretty normal.
When you have seen "a door that isn't there" have you ever gone through it?

My experiences have been very similar to yours. I've had stairs that aren't there in the real world, and have gone up them only to have a door slammed in my face and snap me back to my body.

I did go through the door.. I have twice. Both times very very dark. My first time I went up the stairs through the door and went through the darkness until I reached some more stairs that led up into this beautiful colorful house with a beautiful large fishtank. The second time I tried going through the door a shadow figure came towards me and I ran back to my body because it scared me. I always telltales that I'm not going to be scared when I get there, but it almost feels in a way that emotions are heightened. I feel sometimes when I try to sleep I feel my hands float out of my body. So I am pretty sure I astral project when I'm sleeping. I remember bits and pieces here and there. I've been reading a lot about the drug dmt. That is naturally produced in our brain. It flows through when we astral project, also dmt flushes our brain right before we die. I've read some people's experiences while they had smoked it, and some seem to be familiar.. With the entities at least. I've tried to talk to friends or family, but they all think I'm nuts lol. I wish I could have a more controlled travel. Has anyone gotten farther and gone on to the higher planes??
