Need to find; Spiritual Comunity and connection

Lately in my life I have been feeling very uprooted. I am working out a place to stay in my area for the time being, and considering where I want to try and live in the future. A couple of things have recently come to my attention;
1. I experience and understand the world differently than most of the people around me. I don't really have a word for it. Some of my senses act a bit differently, and I often find other people confusing.
2. I have a need to be around people who will understand me.

For this reason my long term goal is to live where there is either a spiritual community I can practice with, or some sort of community for people with my experience. I identify as Faerie or Fay, but suspect that i might be energetically similarity to Angelic beings. I have always felt comfortable with those who work with Angels, or identify as Angelic or earth angel. I practice a general Pagan path that I don't really have a name for, along side of Wicca.
What I am looking for is general information about places or groups I could do some research on or contact, that exist within the US. I don't want you to out anyone, I just want to be pointed in the right direction. I have been looking at western Washington state as a possible place to go, but at this point I am wanting to expand my search. I have felt very uprooted lately, so it is important for me to find a place where I can create a home. I welcome your advice and suggestions. Many thanks!

I too have those same thoughts. I have trouble understanding people, I practice a faith there is no name for, I feel almost lost in my current location, etc. I have simply out grown my current environment. My children as well as my husband feel the same as I. In fact I home school my children because 1) They want me to and 2) they cannot comprehend the actions of their fellow classmates. They want to learn and they get very frustrated when other children are disruptive.

I am fortunate to have a family that follows the same path I do that is paramount to growth. So I fully understand your need to be around like minded souls. When I chose my new state of residence I went with what pulled me. The mountains are like my North and we decided on Colorado as a family. I will let you know what I find when we get there.

My best advice is go with what pulls you. You can always create the community you desire for we are every where and we are all feeling the need to find likeminded souls.

Thank you for responding. It helps to know that I am not alone. I will keep your advice in mind as I search. I have had the impression lately that all of this is going somewhere. I am just not certain where yet.

Hey my advice is to go what feels true in you about things sometimes it takes awhile for answer to come and doesnt always make sense at first.

listen and feel with your heart the true path to the community you want to befriend
mind answers to quickly as i have learnt

i think a lot of us on here are finding our rootes back to nature thats just my opinion

go with what is true in your heart and soul just my advice mind

Washington state?

Are you aware they have mold counts year round there? I mean it can rain 24/7 for weeks at a time. And the people in the Pacific Northwest are very clannish. I know because that is where I was born and grew up.

Do your research before you pick a place. Don't just point on a map and say, 'there'.

Compendium, I have been giving more thought to what you said in your post. Over the past few days it has become clear to me that I am being pulled in a direction, and that I need to follow my intuition to find out where I am being pulled to.

Washington State is where I originally believed that I had some existing community. I am now not so sure that community serves my needs. However I am already connected to some resources there, and have hear good reports of some other groups in the area so I think it is worth checking out.

Hey sweetie follow the magnetism and you will end up where you belong. At least for this part of your life. As an adult I have been pulled three times. Once from Florida to NY then from NY to Florida LOL and now my final destination I am being pulled to Colorado.I have this deep feeling this is my final destination anyways, but who knows. Follow your heart not your head. Washington is amazing and it is so beautiful. I love the rain and it has so much energy if that is where your heart is leading then follow. <3
