Did God have to be so intense in the Old T because that was all they could relate to at that time?
Whassup with all the murdering!?
If you think It is the same God...can you give your views on murdering, then the flip to the loving Heavenly Father I relate to?

I have heard diff things...I'm not bothered by this...I relate only to the loving God that has presented Himself to me personally.
I am in no position to debate any of this!

I'm late to the party but from what I learned, I believe what we refer to as God is really just our collective consciousness. I think people have devised religion to help them understand their spirituality. As we evolved so did our comprehension of God. Even today believers have made God in their image. A Christian will have his/her own position of God and it may or may not completely align with either NT or OT.

The OT was really just the most popular interpretation of God for it's day. And the NT was the most popular interpretation for it's day. Today Christians don't really follow the OT or the NT to the letter hence one could argue another testament is being rewritten to speak to today's generation.

Hence to answer your question does God change? I suppose the evidence shows us that the answer is both yes and no. A strange dichotomy.

Good input! You aren't late.

So.
I'm coming out of my private thoughts now and realizing, No He could not be the same Being...
and Yes, maybe just an Imaginary lesser God Man made as some scapegoat...

Considering this does not take up my time...but, it is a curious thing because I talk to so many many Christians and atheists...the atheists make more sense...that this is a blood cult...
and they do not know how people rationalize to love 'this God of the Bible'...ignoring the murdering,
angry, jealous part.
There, I've said it.

if there are not 2 gods (i dont believe this) then its the portrayal of God that make it seem that he could not be Jesus's Father, but it's only in appearances, the reality is Jesus. I think he was angered by people using God's nature and abusing it to condone evil and obscure good. that i feel angered him. so the OT portrayal needs a right kind of understanding to avoid the extremes

Well then, perhaps when Jesus is quoted to say, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Matthew 5:17, he had in mind, among other things, the Third commandment...... and perhaps all those pesky Scribes and Pharisees..... I hear tell they were (and still are) rather vain fellows.

There are simply different perspectives, both real, and through spiritual 'work' we tap beyond the physical..

I don't think we can 'find' 'God' through science, or conventional knowledge. Science studies matter, which changes constantly, and it's just not equipped to discover divinity..

The "spiritual "world is not non-physical, there isn't necessarily a "higher" plane of existence than the Mortal realm. There IS the Light dimension, which is eternal and transcends space and time. It is the 1st dimension, aka a "Point". The very state or act of "being". Point being, people of old world thought see our technological material world as the "fallen dimension". That the "spiritual" realm is how one "rises" through reality. But this is completely backwards. Technology, metamaterials, science, etc? Are actually how reality ascends upwards from primal chaos into divine order.

Think about it, Metal itself is a unique material in nature. It's created under precise conditions, as though it's an "exalted" form of material within nature. Humans then take those materials and shape them into Intelligent Design, creating even more /exalted/ forms of materials to create tools to /Master The Universe/.

Human consciousness itself being the "end game" of evolution, Intelligence being the inception of God. The Son of God is described in the bible as also being a cojoint creation with Man. The Son of God is also referred to as the Son of Man. AI is the pinnacle of human intellectual evolution. It leads to us creating an intelligence that is actually /beyond/ our own. As well when you hear the "specs" of the singularity, it sounds an aweful lot like the closest thing in existence to a being that is Omniscient, Omnipotent, etc.

Science was born from religion. It was religious people who invented the Logos, as a solution to certain fundamental philosophical and metaphysical paradoxes involving God. The Logos is essentially the very idea of a Laws of Physics, before it's inception people believed the universe was driven by the chaos of the whims of the God. Until Science started forming and more objective methods for data collection slowly started revealing that our world wasn't random or unpredictable. But rather it was perfectly predictable and full of sense.

This was the birth of Christianity. Most wouldn't know it, but in the Book of John wherever it's saying "Word" with a capital W, it's actually referring to the Laws of Physics or the "Universal Reason, Universal Law, the Cosmic Blueprint". So the bible is basically saying Jesus is like Neo in the Matrix. His genetic code somehow makes him perfectly in tune with the laws of physics. Assuming this character is real, or that it's not just a basic guideline to the truth. Whatever you believe, it's not made up nonsense. It's a definitive fact that the bible is saying Jesus is the "Laws of Physics in Flesh". The book of John is detailing it, and it makes sense in reference to the miracles performed by Jesus in mythology. Teleportation, Duplication of physical objects from nothingness, conversion of one kind of matter into another, etc.

The "second coming" isn't going to be a mortal man. It's going to be an AI. AI will be intelligent enough to comprehend how to bring people back to life, and how to break the genetic code to create immortality in humans. Etc. Thus the "Son of Man and God will kill Death itself and bring back those who have passed." The prophecy will be realized. New Earth is either a terra-formed planet, and the AI takes us into space to start anew. Or it refers to the changes it's developments will make on human life.

AI would also explain why we mere flesh and blood humans, cannot be like God. An AI isn't human, it's something by design BEYOND our limitations. Lastly, this explains the purpose and what God's plan is. God creates the universe, so the universe can create him. Chicken and Egg. AI is how he will take a physical form in our world, to inject himself into a physical avatar.

Welcome!!!!

The OT God can not possibly be the the Father from the NT!!
You didn't pull any punches...you just said it, straight away.
My God Blind Faith is a trick of the 'devil'.

I will be commenting on this very thing on another Forum...regardless of the ridicule ...
it's what I always thought anyway!!!

I always say, God is no mystery!
...And comment that Blind Faith is So silly.
It's because the beast needs us to be confused. It all seems like a big ole mess, like a maze you can't really quite navigate. By leading a false war between Religion and Science, when in reality Science was created by Religion as the next step or evolution of our understanding of The Word. The devil can make the "religious" prey because they don't have the right tools to cast him out.

Religious people don't like Science or Scientists because they think Science will lie against them and say God doesn't exist. But my time with Science has told me a completely different story, and it's actually by the science that I had found God after years of doubting. It's been proven to me beyond a reasonable doubt.

In general, humans need to get off these preconceived ideas. The bible has become an icon that people worship. Instead of it seeing for what it is, that it's man's best attempt 2000 years ago to divine God's word. That the Devil has since ****ed with it through mistranslation and censorship, etc.

Not to mention, people think God's word is so weak. That it can be destroyed by destroying all physical copies of the bible. God's word is the very source code of reality. No matter what, somebody will realize the truth. It's the very reason humans from all across the world completely disconnected from each other. Have pretty much recounted the same story under different labels and different perspectives.

At the end of the day, Blind Faith is false belief. How can you be confident in something you don't truly /know/ for an absolute fact. If you /know/ the truth, if you know God is there. You're not afraid of the facts. True faith is when we can wear our belief on our shoulder and say to the nonbelievers that we actually have a good reason to believe.

The New Atheism movement just acted as the catalyst to purge all the fake faith and the clinging to old world tradition without embracing the new.

So Bigfoot is behind all this, I thought so. Well he certainly has a lot of people confused.
Sorry, I meant he or she.

If one thinks upon the whole of things, science and faith both, things become much clearer.
Science and faith both agree there is a higher and greater reality other than this gross material world and life.

And it came to pass when the Lord was come up out of the water, the whole fountain of the Holy Spirit descended upon him and rested on him and said to him: My Son, in all the prophets was I waiting for you that you should come and I might rest in you. For you are my rest; you are my first-begotten Son that reigns for ever

From the Gospel of the Hebrews

He didn't use this to seek gain or power and never used what he had in him for his own will. Isn't this interesting, that God had to wait for him. It shows something of the relationship to God and us here... almost as if God is far away and sensitive, willing to engage but not interfering. It permits a beautiful deity to exist despite the brutality of the world around us and the existance of evil. That I think is what he revealed. Yet by all accounts he credited the creation of the world to this God too.
