Terrapin Trader
Terrapin Trader sells stuff from the University of Maryland (surplus and junk). I ride my bike there at least once a week and this week I saw what appears to bronze tortoise statue and decided to make a video of it and other things they sell.

Great video.
University of Arizona has a similar place that they sell surplus ...... minus the tortoise. Great find.
I used to go to auctions that sold various, sundry things. One item I bough was an x-ray machine: the type used at airports, entrances to government buildings, etc. I was going to use it to radiate cheap quartz and turn it into smokey quartz. Then..... I realized that I had no place to put it so I never picked it up.

I could really do with a good deal on a filing cabinet actually. Unfortunately I'm on the wrong side of the ocean :(
