I've entertained the idea of polyamory and thought perhaps that this was the true "way" and wanting someone to be committed to me monogamously was just my ego at work (i.e. the need to possess someone). I do see the merits to polyamory - "I'm so full of love, I'd like to share this with everyone" - but its just not for me, sexually. I can give and show love in many other infinite ways, physical love doesn't necessarily have to be one of them.
