Lenormand Practice Thread

OK, I promised myself I'd start learning Lenormand this year and have badly neglected my study.
Making serious effort now but really need help to see if I'm reading this right.

Background - my daughter works for a large company but is really unfulfilled. She's applied for a number of jobs this week and has several interviews lined up. So she wanted to know what's in store.

Scythe, Tower, Fox (significator card), Bear, Stork.
Resigning from the company she currently works for and finding security in something new.
I'm reading this as she'll be successful in (at least) one job offer, or is that just wishful thinking. I'm trying to hold off casting a tarot spread.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Last time I was consistent in getting Fox, Bear & Scyth with my Fairy Tale Leno's, I received a bit of a unexpected backlash from a person. I feel the Leno is good at reading the energy from a few days ahead;makes more sense after the event occurs. Personally, I still prefer to Tarot..

As far as your reading, I am a bit reminded of the 5 of swords. Sort of a battle, leaving the job behind but at what cost and is it really worth it? She may come to find that perhaps the grass is not always greener on the other side. Bear & stork reminding her to stay put until the right opportunity comes along or may end of losing more than bargained for... Just my two cents.

I'm going to pull some tarot cards later just to see what they have to say on the matter. There's a lot going on behind the scenes with her job situation so tarot may throw some light on that.

I think your interpretation is really good. The Fox likely says that there is indeed a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes. It can represent manipulation, sneaky, sly behaviour etc. Since that is the center card ...

Clouds - Tower - Sun

I can hear the thunder in the first card, I feel as if it's raining on Tower (future education... future employment or possibly house?) and then afterwards, the sun should shine. Or I hope it does.

In regards to the question, this kind of rose-colored view (ie "it's hard now but it's rainbows after, I promise!!") may be overly idealistic; I may need to be quite pragmatic about future employment/residential options.

I came across a site with more unusual interpretations of the cards. Some are based on her own experiences.
I find that it helps a lot, especially with cards like Snake, Fox, even the Coffin.
I often get stuck with these cards, because I just know/feel/sense that the default interpretations aren't applicable in certain readings.
I also notice that these annoyingly default interpretations do tend to stick and come up first in my mind.
Reading some other views is great! Very extensive stuff on each card, also combinations, keywords etc.

I like her cards too. Her explanations on the imagery are sometimes helpful as well to get a more in-depth understanding of the meaning of a card.

Some things on the cards she comes up with don't compute for me, so it's still a matter of finding my own thing and sticking to that. But her interpretations do help an awful lot.

What I do like a lot, is her interpretation of The Letter. That card always tripped me up. Default says "written messages/communication" which often times is not applicable at all.
Her interpretation is absolutely brilliant! Love it! Finally I can do something with that Letter card, haha.

I also love how she works with Lilies, dividing it in Virtuous Lily and Sensuous Lily. Covering both the 'default' spiritual and sexual aspect.

I still haven't really worked out which card is the 'sex card' for me though. Some say Birds, others Lilies and I believe Anna mentioned yet another card being the standard 'sex card' (and her not agreeing with it, lol).

I do not agree with her view of the Whip.
Do you guys work with 100% negative interpretations of the cards? She does with Whip.
I never want to stick to 100% bad only. It just doesn't seem right to me.
