Sacagawea

I didn't realize that there was actually a controversy over how long she survived. Apparently recorded records stated that she had passed away at the time she was married to Charbonneau, but the book I read in high school, had gone into her getting away from her husband and eventually getting back to her birth people. It was told very vividly and apparently people believe she eventually did return to her people. Has anybody ever been able to find the truth? I believe that she returned to her people but some people do and some people don't.

Oh man this just reminded me of a funny story involving my 10 year old grandson Nick.

I was helping him study for a history test and it was obvious he had not actually studied it very hard yet because when I asked him "who was Sacagawea"??? His answer was " A sack of Jaweeah???" LOL!!!
