A beam of light

When I was around the age of 12, my sister and myself were having a campfire on one summer night. I come from a town of less than 3000 so it was a fairly laid back place. It was around 11 o'clock when I decided to add a couple of pieces of wood to the fire and I sat down. What happened next defies logic; my sister was sitting directly in front of me when all of the sudden a blindingly bright beam of white light enveloped us both for around 5 seconds. The firepit was at the center of this light and we were on the outer rim but still engulfed in this mysterious light. I could barely make out my sister because of the intensity of the light as well. There were no signs of helicopters, airplanes, or any other vehicles in the vicinity which happened to make it that much more bizarre... For those who are wondering, I didn't look up lol!

After that, we rushed into the house completely terrified of what had just happened and tried explaining to my father (who happened to be getting ready to go to sleep at the time) what had just occurred. I still vividly recall this instance to this very day and often wonder, what it a sign of some kind? I've always sort of felt out of place due to my sensitivity and overall perspective on life so maybe they came back to offer me a ride home lol! I guess I'll find out the reason behind this phenomena in the afterlife!

i had a similar experience when i was 23. i was compelled to look out my back window, it was night and dark out side. this was in a town of 200 people. the only thing behind my house was a mountain. anyways, i saw a bright white light in the form of a circle on the ground in my yard. there were no street lights, no planes or people with flash lights, nothing out there but this light. my first thought was a very old knowing of "aliens'. which surprised me cause i dont believe they exist. i told my dad about this and he said he has seen the same thing in the back yard, about 20 times or so.

i am like you, guess i will found out the reason behind this in the afterlife, cause i have no idea now.

That is a very interesting point you bring up my friend. Did I receive an "upgrade" of some kind or perhaps they uploaded something to my consciousness that would activate when the time was right...

It's sort of difficult to pinpoint since it's been so long but I recall after that, I had basically no fear of the unknown; I embraced the idea that the human experience is but a stepping stone to a greater sense of being. I'm the type of person that analyzes everything to gain a greater understand of whatever it is that I'm studying. This must have some significance that I'm not perceiving at my current level.
