I don't really know what a shadow side is. The way others are describing it makes it seem like everyone is talking about their "supposed" negative, darker side. I think as one slowly gains a better perspective, they realize all that is made up stuff. Its fun to talk about. But nothing to take seriously.

Sorry I'm not going to have sensitive as a negative. You'll see it as an asset one day. I like your new signature. We all have weaknesses. You're as solid as rock under the bravado. I think you're great.

I don't see nihilism as a flaw. Perhaps melancholic nihilism is a flaw, but content nihilism may be a virtue. Like the "everything just is and that's okay" kind of nihilism. It could prevent much confusion, despair, and hubris, Maybe.

Well I see it as a nuisance and a weakness. When there's two idiots arguing in the same room and it gets out of hand, all the negative emotions are somehow pushed towards my direction and absorbed against my wish. Same thing when someone is sobbing their eyes out. For that reason I can't bear hanging around overly emotional people because I want to have nothing to do with their annoying emotions which they can't keep in check.

That's why I try to avoid my mother-in-law. She's a wonderful person, but she talks too much and cries too much. And my own mother just yells all the time.
