This is my own conclusions based on 5 years of studying the effect in my own circumstance. There are also inner ear issues which can cause similar effects and undoubtedly other reasons as well.

Each person experiencing it is encouraged to study it with out preconceived conclusions and determine via repetition what is the most likely cause for themselves. If it is only very rare and random event, say once a year or so, collecting data is going to be very hard and most likely result in being inconclusive.

Hello

It can be two fold where your laying down and there is a fluid change in your ears this can bring on that ring sensation. Too when we lay down for a nap its more that place of a power rest than a full on nights sleep. So it is that place where we drift in and out of consciousness. In this place we can be more open to what is called out of the body or Astral Travel. This is that place where we can leave the conscious physical state of our being and become more energy. In this place of energy we can connect more readily to the other side and other dimensions.

We I feel can all connect to other vibrations and have communications. It is just that we do not all open up to this place of being. We I feel are never alone, we always have beings and spirits around us just that we do not all open to communications.

At times it might well be our Guide (s) trying to get us to listen to that inner voice or gut feeling we all have and to put the logic of the brain aside for a minute. How often do we go "Ok if I had just listened to my gut" and then things could have been different ? That is the inner voice we all have, that animal survival instinct we have in us but as we have become modern in our reliance of the city life, we have lost touch with much of that gut feeling.

I would look to what is going on in life when this happens, to what you have on your plate to do or to want to do but something is holding that back. Many times the communications are you inner voice saying OK move your butt and get into motion to make what you "want" happen.

Yes, yes, yes! Since childhood, but far more frequently lately - and it is usually my left ear. Sometimes it is quite loud - a clear, ongoing tone, like a tuning fork. Three times I have also heard a beautiful chime in that left ear. You are not alone!
