The question is..........WHO is the Great God Pan?

Pan is the goat-footed son of the god Hermes. Pan is god of shepherds and their flocks. He plays a set of pipes known as Pan pipes. He enjoys pursuing nymphs and is known to be quite lustful

However, some pagan paths refer to Pan aka Lucifer, Lord of Darkness and Lord of Light

There is a story of how Pan showed Himself to the founders of the Scottish Findhorn Foundation. It was on Princess St. in Edinburgh of all places.

That's great, Honza. I'll have to look that up, although I did know about Findhorn. I read a book called "When We Were Gods: Insights on Atlantis", because the author had encounters with Pan. It's good to know that I'm not the only one.

Thanks for the link. That book is something I need to buy. Pan's hooves did look more like a faun. I thought He reduced himself, so I would be charmed, and not frightened. I was charmed.
