One point focusing
Pick a spot on the wall or a single object. Do not take your eyes off it. As you do this you will find that your visual field begins to distort. As it does so, it will come in waves, each time growing stronger. Continue and you will suddenly have a moment where your visual field of distortion engulfs you.
(This may take you several attempts to get the feel for it.) Once you reach that stage of total distortion and you stay with it, you will find yourself in another dimension. Do not be surprised to see yourself flying as well.

Another good one is sit a foot away from a mirror. Look into your eyes so that your left eye is looking at it's reflection and your right eye is looking at it's reflection and focus so your eye doesn't move at all, after about a minute you get the same effect as one point focusing but i find this easier.

An improvement on that one is to go cross eyed as you look into the mirror so that you see four eyes instead of two. Then adjust your cross eyedness so that the middle two eyes merge into one and exactly overlap and then focus your attention on this "third" eye. By doing this your right and left lobe are equally balanced and it starts to open your third eye, which is what any of these concentration exercises apparently do. 45 minutes is supposed to be the optimum time to stay doing this exercise and develops auric vision in anyone who practices. Start doing it for 5 minutes and build up with time.
More info on www.ajna.com - seeing auras topic. A good website for third eye info.

Keep focusing in whatever way you like, but watching your consciousness getting concentrated is important. You can physically feel it in your brain.

getting to the point
Another is to see your SELF as a point, a point of light. No matter how small you see yourself to be, you just keep getting smaller and smaller and smaller ans s.............
A point of infinitesimal consciousness.
