I am new to ap but I am always interested in hearing others experiences about trying to project! I had been trying consistently every day but nothing was happening! It is important not to get disheartened. Read everyone's stories and try to figure out what works for u, everyone has a technique they prefer! Personally I have yet to actually project but I have found that meditation everyday and practising mindfulness has gotten me further than ever before. Would you like to share your technique with me?

I'm far from mastering it. But I have found that if I during the day every now and then remind myself that when I go to sleep that night I will experience astral projection I can at least bare minimum remember my dreams.
This I think helps to prepare yourself mentally for the astral projection experience.
I also keep a note book and voice recorder on my bedside table.
Again to help get into the right frame of mind by recalling experiences while in a state of sleep or meditation.
I am starting to think that I may need to do more healing before my mind will allow me to truly appreciate astral projection. Since, when I have occasionally reached this state I've found that the experiences has provided me with more questions then answers which need addressing before I can experience it again.

i found 17 good free books online about astral projection, feel free to learn from them and find your best methods:

1. "Adventures beyond the body" W. Buhlman http://www.baytallaah.com/bookspdf/132.pdf

2. "The secret of the soul" by W. Buhlman https://keychests.com/item.php?v=tjgtysdbffo.

3. "Journeys out of Body" (1971) by Robert Monroe at http://users.telenet.be/sterf/texts/...ody-monroe.pdf. Monroe died in 1995 at the age of 80.

4. "Far Journeys" (1985) by Robert Monroe at http://www.exopoliticshongkong.com/u...r_journeys.pdf.

5. "Ultimate Journey" (1994) by Robert Monroe [page 51-53 he mentions encounter with a 1800 year old guy] at https://www.dmt-nexus.me/doc/Ultimat...A%20Monroe.pdf.

6. "Astral Dynamics" by Robert Bruce, 778 pages (2007), at the author's website: http://www.astraldynamics.com/home/i...rks_rb.pdf.pdf.

7. "Mastering Astral Projection - 90 Day Guide to the out of body experience" - Robert Bruce (2005) - http://issuu.com/jonvee/docs/robert_...al_projection/

8. "Astral Projection Guidebook" by Erin P. (a less detailed book, 115 pages, 2013, very short and easy to read, lots of her experiences included) at http://issuu.com/hamzateemoor/docs/t..._guidebook_-_e.

9. "Astral travel for beginners" by Richard Webster (226 pages, 2001) at http://issuu.com/hamzateemoor/docs/_...ral_travel_for. A great book with a lot of information and verified cases of astral travel, with a lot of information about other books and experiments done last 140 years, excellent as a reference for giving to skeptics who want to research more.

10. "The Projection of the Astral Body" by Sylvan Muldoon (1929, 248 pages). http://issuu.com/projetorastral/docs/muldoon_astral Sylvan died in 1971, at the age of 68. The book was co-written by psychic researcher Carrington, but it was Muldoon who had the astral travels. It's one of the earlier classics that started this whole astral research in the West.

11. "Astral Projection: A record of out of body experiences" by Oliver Fox, who died in 1949 at the age of 64. This was published in 1962 and it has some of his experiences. Just 160 pages. http://issuu.com/hunabkuproductions/...ral-projection

12. "Practice of Astral Projection" by Robert Crookall http://issuu.com/hunabkuproductions/...ral-projection. An older book from 1960 with 160 experiences from many people. He died in 1981 at the age of 91. Wrote many books on astral travel.

13. "Astral Projection" by Yram (1967, 253 pages) at http://www.scribd.com/doc/57844515/Y...rojection-1926. Yram's real name was Dr. Marcel Louis Forhan and he was born in 1884 in France and died in 1917 in China. The book has many of his experiences.

14. "Astral Projection Notes" - by Donald DeGracia (1994) - the intro says this pdf can be shared widely with anyone on the Internet, as long as it's shared entirely. He is sharing his projections and his interpretations. http://nahkahiir.thps3.net/temp/do_obe.pdf

There are other less interesting astral travel books, which have fewer interesting personal experiences:

15. "Astral Projection for Beginners" by Edain M. (254 pages, 1999) at http://issuu.com/hamzateemoor/docs/e...projection_for

16. "The astral projection workbook" by James H. Brennan (146 pages, 1989) at http://issuu.com/astroamershah/docs/...ction_workbook Please note that James is not an astral expert, but an author who published 100 books, so he is more like recycling/writing stuff than sharing new ideas from an extensive personal astral travel experience.

17. "Out of Body Experiences" by Robert Peterson (1997) at his website: http://www.robertpeterson.org/obebook.html. He is a computer programmer who also does obe in his spare time.

The best way to achieve ap is to practice. The more you practice, the more likely you will succeed.
