Fire beings are not the easiest ones to start with Sky-lite, so don't be so hard on yourself.
If you have not already seen my reply to your other post, then why not go and look at photographs of all different nature spirits and see how they usually present themselves to us at:

The Photo you are viewing is a crop taken of an area with woodchips and fungi were growing there.
If you can, notice the tiny faces and images at ground level and how they present themselves. Different coloured faces and semi transparent forms.
These are camouflage experts.

Oh my gosh!! Amazing!!! I see at least 10 at 1st glance.. Green, tan, black, opaque and semi-transparent as you mention... WOW!! Thank you for sharing!!
