Hung on the fridge...

Art is something that has always been a healing process for me, even as a child. There is something about art where you can zone out on the world around you and create what ever your hearts desire. Even if you are not creating your own thing and developing skills in some way, that in its own right has been healing for me as well. It quiets my mind and stills my emotions when I am practicing skill work.

Here you will see a variety of types of art. Writings, paintings, drawings, photos, etc. You are welcome to post what ever type of art captures your soul as well.

I will post my latest painting on a rock. I found the rock up the road where a farmer lives. He lets me go through the fields and look for rocks.

While painting this one, I was able to calm my emotions down that I have been having with some anger. I tamed the dragon with in me. I let go of what was keeping me sitting, starring into the sun, blinding me of my own addiction to the pain. At times while painting I would find myself staring into the air. Just feeling, just letting go and awakening that is okay to fly once again.

That's amazing use of colors and the rough surface of the rock really adds a wonderful effect to your art.

I did this one mostly at night while my family slept. I was going through a bad PTSD flashback. I wanted to cry and scream and lash out, but instead I painted. One of my twins noticed how her foot doesn't look right. We had a discussion about how every creature is different. How everyone has a flaw within themselves and how it okay to be this way. That being too hard on your self is not the best thing to do and if you make mistakes, that finding forgiveness is a step that will make you feel happy again. He understood. When he does his art now, if he makes a goof, he says it is no big deal, doesn't have to be "perfect."

This piece helped me through a tough time and him to learn to be okay with his flaws, which in turn helped me again.

Beautiful new piece. Looks like solitude and oneness. I love your discussion with your twin. So much wisdom. Many, especially my husband can benefit.
