Odd reiki experience.

Hiroshi Doi explains it perfectly in his book, "A Modern Reiki Method For Healing"

"The healing ability is given without any training. You, however, must continue to purify yourself and heighten your spirituality to develop the healing ability and to become an ever clearer pathway of Reiki energy.

It is fundamental that you must recognize yourself as a channel of Reiki. If you have an illusion that you "have" this great power or try to strengthen the healing effect with your consciousness, then you can lose your life energy and health.

Concentration or condensation of Nen (strong will, strong desire, emotional force, intention, intense concentration, strong control by mind or consciousness. As Nen tends to be used to satisfy ego or selfish desire, Reiki healers are taught not to use it while healing), must not be done. It's crucial to relax and place the hands without any intentions.

As long as the pathway of Reiki is clean, there is no need to worry about it. Place your Kokoro (self, soul, heart, consciousness), in the Tanden (3-5 centimeters below the navel), the lower abdomen, and maintain your consciousness at a high level to prevent tuning into negative hado (vibration, energy of human consciousness).

Reiki works on all the creatures in the Universe. However, it is important to keep your consciousness clear at all times so that you do not carelessly tune into negative or rough hado. Reiki cannot be used with any technique that requires your conscious intention to control something.

Now the phrase "Universal Energy" is used with various meanings. The usage of it depends on the person: for his future, self fulfillment, satisfaction and so on. But the substance of these energies is not entirely clarified: some of them are the same as Reiki and some are not. The only difference between Reiki and non-Reiki energy is whether it is the "hado of Love," whether it leads everything to Life and Harmony or does not."

The author is a Japanese Reiki Master who is a member of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, the original association started by the founder of Usui Reiki, Usui Sensei.
The training and information taught to Gakkai members and contained in their archives is the most authentic available today. Since the Gakkai is a closed association in which it is difficult even for Japanese Reiki students to become members, we are fortunate that this author has permission to pass this sacred information on to the public.

I highly recommend this book to all practitioners and those interested in learning more. Many in the west misuse Reiki because in some cases it has been misinterpreted by both teachers and students. This book shows the proper way to approach this precious gift.

That is exactly what I did when it backfired on me. I tried to mix reiki energy with another form of healing energy (prana) in which I control the energy and exactly where it goes and what it does. (cause I had been told that it couldnt hurt anything).

Maybe the pure intention to help her was not there and something got in the way. I can't belive that person took off too with complete irresponsiblity. Maye it was karmic between them.

I really doubt if the person in the mall giving demos of people to reiki, wanting it more known, I dont think that person would of had bad intent. Something just went badly wrong (and freaked the one who did it out).

Who knows what most peoples reactions would be if they knocked another out in a mall! (the person could of even thought she had killed her). Lots of people could run away in that situation (I'd want to hide under a table!). We all believe we would do the right thing but people dont always act rationally when shocked.

My intention when I had reiki screw up on me had been pure intention too, I wanted to help the other so was trying to make the energies I was using as strong as possible to do so.

Don't get me wrong, I didnt mean the person at the mall giving reiki consciously wanted to harm anyone. That person is just a channel after all.
Before i do reiki i always put the intention for the reiki session out to the universe and ask all my guides, masters, angels for assistance. Perhaps this part was not done and something else came in. A mall can be an odd place for reiki with all kinds of energy around.

Yeah I had that happen to me once too. I knew what freaked her thou as I'd felt it too.. my hand like went right inside of her body.. sunk throu her shoulder.. could so clearly feel it then inside her body (it felt sooo weird! as it felt like I had my hand inside her guts or something). My hand astrally (but felt real) was within her body and went to one of her organs. She jumped and freaked out as it did this and asked me to stop and left the sesson. Too weird for her too!

Maybe she needed some wake up call with conciousness or reality?? I wonder why it did that to someone who didnt seem ready for something like that.

If you're not used to powerful energy, it could be quite scary. I can see why somebody would jump off the table. The last Reiki session I had with my healer, the inside of my head was spinning like it was a mixing bowl. It was crazy. I knew whatever needed to be cleared was being cleared, so I trusted it even though I was experiencing an intense sensation. You have to trust that Spirit is working to heal whatever needs to be healed. After the session, she said that she saw these dark spirals of negative energy rise out of me, hence why I felt that spinning energy.
