Parties/social occasions

Hello

I recently posted a dream about a co-worker. He featured in yet another dream last night. There seems to be a theme - there is always some sort of party or social gathering. In this dream, he was by the buffet table and I went up to him, we were chatting closely then - this is funny but stay with it, we know what dreams are like lol - he poked his nose in my eye, and in retaliation I licked his eyebrow. No idea what that was about. Then I whispered in his ear "You know I would". But that was said with the thoughts that I would if I could, not that I definitely would (I am married with a family).

We just get on as colleagues in work, there is nothing weird between us. However, I went through 2.5 years of intense obsession over a previous work colleague where I had to leave that place of work - only to fall into a dark night of the soul where I rebuilt myself from the inside out (very long story - suffice to say it was also a battle between what I felt I wanted - him - and knowing in my heart of hearts it was not to be. I definitely learned alot from the experience and I am worried about going through similar again, although I am older and far wiser now).

Anyway - parties in dreams?

parties/social occasions are times of celebration (for accomplishments),
times of remembrance (for past events), and times for meet & greet
(potentially making new friendships).
it's seeming that you're "escalating" a friendly co-worker relationship
into something else, unwittingly. if you were to consider that coworker
as merely a figure representing an energy willing to work with you,
"intimately", and not as the specific person portrayed, it'd probably
become more clear what your dreams have been talking about.
it's true that this coworker had "poked his nose" into how you see
things, within the dream, so it may be that you're needing to set
a boundary of what interactions are permissible between you two.
establishing a 'more professional' relationship with that spiritual helper,
even in the more relaxed setting, may be the task at hand for you.

Many thanks again for taking the time to respond to my crazy dreams. I really appreciate it. I get what you are saying, and I can work with that. Just one little thing - I think the 'escalation' is my anxiety about it escalating to the scale it was in the previous co-worker relationship I had as it caused so much heartache. So this dream is more about how I am anxious about all this rather than our relationship needing any boundaries. I guess I am missing the knowledge on how to make my own boundaries... and that is really key to my learning. I can either be really aloof and awkward or, if I get to know someone, immerse myself in their lives - it's either, or. It's just that way I am. I watch others doing the in-between healthy boundaries stuff but I never really learned that not with men anyway :( Thank you :)

i'm reassured that that knowledge exists within you... because nothing of
value to you is kept from you [by god]. to recover the 'missing' information,
from within the recesses of your being, it may be that your feelings are your
best guide. although the future is unknown, we might get an indication of
what to expect by an intuitive feeling. if you were to find a 'zero point' on
your emotional scale, and use it as a reference, it may be that a particular
feeling is associated with approaching some boundary that you're not
wanting to cross. an increase in anxiety could be such an indicator.
