Yea, where I learned meditation no one cared what religion or other named thing people identified with - all that isn't considered important as far as the dhamma goes. I'm pretty sure the ND satsang tradition is pretty much the same in that regard.

Oh thanks for the reminder. I hadn’t actually realized there are virtual Gulag Museums on the net with name lists. A couple of pages into the list and quite a few relatives were already mentioned.
During those days, it didn’t matter whether you were for or against the revolution, people were sent to Gulags anyway.

History needs to be told truthfully, but assuming a victim mentality, a victim role - is also a habitual pattern standing in the way of realizing that “Oneness” is not just a concept.

Yes that was, and still is, an argument used against dissidents who had the audacity to complain about thier treatment at the hands of totalitarians.
