A Day In The Woods

The leaves were falling and the air was crisp,
Silence was all around.
Then a rustle through the trees....
Falls last bee.

A woman walked past, far overdressed.
It was cool but the sun was still hot!
She glanced and walked on by..

A lake breeze picked up the waves,
A deer was still and staring at me.

A jogger ran by but saw me not.
A spring fed quarry invited me for a swim,
I swam for a moment.

A sharp sign pierced my jacket.....
It read "No Swimming"
I laughed.

Fear says "NO SWIMMING"
Then creates a sign as sharp as a razor blade.....

I see the future.
Young boy bleeds to death after being cut by "No swimming" sign.

I reported the dangerous sign,
but let the swimmer off the hook!
