Got attacked in my dream

My dream started of nice. I was dreaming that I was having a spiritual awakening and the energy was coming in waves. It was so blissful, my body felt so light that I even thought I could levitate. So I tried to levitate with no avail then I suddenly has an urge to make love to my wife, so I proceeded to go to bed to wait for her. I then jumped in bed and this thing next to me started to attack me, grabbing me by my throat area. I started to fight back, but this thing was strong as heell, I then said to the thing "ah get out of here" in a calm voice, like it was nothing. I also said something about God & Jesus as my saviors, the thing slowly went away. This dream felt so real and I'm pretty much creeped out that this has happened to me.

does this thing have anything to do with my meditating? should I expect more of this kind of thing?

Meditation makes me more aware of my dreams. I do not believe it changes the quantity or quality of my dreams. Only my awareness of them.

As for this particular dream, I wonder if there is a link between the failed levitation and the urge to make love to your soulmate and the attack (doubts?) while you awaited your love.

Whatever that whatever, you handled the attack masterfully.

Are you experienced with lucid dreaming? Attempting to have sex is one thing that makes my LDs end every time so I never even try anymore. What did the thing look like?

I say that this was my third lucid dream. This one was different in a way that as soon as I closed my eyes my dream started.

I couldn't see the thing next me, as it was under the blankets. If I had a guess it could have been me, the part of me that doesn't want to let go. My 1st LD that I had was me fighting a younger version of me, with these beautiful ladies breaking it up consoling me.

The reason why it might to do with my meditation is because this thing attacked my throat. The few days leading up to it, when meditating I felt this little bug moving around in my throat/upper chest area.
