Ancient Healing Methods

I am curious is anyone well versed in some of the healing methods used by pagan religions? I understand they used herbs and plants. Were there other methods? Did they use crystals/stones, energy work or any methods popular today in new age and holistic circles? I know there are many methods from the east, what about in the west? Any ideas?

You can get a clue by looking at the healing practices which are practiced now in East-West.
Western healing relies on two strands - drugs and surgery. Whereas the East did not develop surgical intervention to the same degree but concentrated on non-invasive methods - acupuncture as a typical example.
Both east and West had strong shamanic traditions, so spiritual healing common all over the planet. Drugs industry grew out of herbalism. Eastern Europe is still very strong in herbal medicine because they never developed a pharmaceutical industry.
IMO, there is not that much difference between East and West in healing methods.

Thanks Norseman.

So you believe that much of what the druids and other Celtic tribes practiced is very similar to what Eastern traditions? So do you see a chakra system in ancient Europe?
