Art Challenge!

Welcome to Art Challenge!

Every two weeks a photo/picture/idea will be posted.

Anyone who wishes to have a go at replicating it (in whatever way they wish using whatever media they wish) is welcome to have a go.

There are no prizes. It's just a fun challenge and should give us discipline to get out our pencils/pens/brushes/clay/materials.

Here is the first challenge...it's not an easy start...good luck to everyone!

Nice idea Squatch :) I wont be able to participate but i look forward to checking out everyone else's work with utmost enthusiasm!

It is. I moved here about a year ago and had no idea what was going to come up...this was the hugest peony I've ever seen (

I measured it - 7" diameter!!!

Thanks sound. I think I've set myself quite a big challenge - eek!

LOL, I have the same thing, except their double flowerd, and white. Apperantly they were planted in the 20s, and are still growing!!! the plant is just above 5 feet tall *** evil laugh..

Definitely a great idea! I am probably not participating in this one, but I may join you guys in the future.

A bigger resolution photo (if there is one) would be good, as a link, for example, beneath the smaller preview in here, if that's not a problem. I find it easier to work with that, to see the details better, but no pressure, just a suggestion.

Do we have to replicate it or can we come up with a totally different idea using the same 'concept' or image?

Anima - I'll see if I can upload a better quality photo. I should have thought of that.

Enlytna - you do whatever you like! But if you draw a building, I want to know the connection between that and the flower...
