Oh, and people use a two pronged stick for divination (isn't it called a drowsing rod?)...just thought I'd add that for the sake of it because they use it to sense energy (usually energy from the ground) in order to locate something like a watercourse or (in the past) oil or coal.

Apparently it was a witch thing....(?)

(Heh, I wish it would make me some cents...I need some free cash. Lol.)

Wow, I never thought of any tree being creepy. That's a bit of a foreign concept to me. Trees are gigantic harbors for life of so many sorts, of course you all know this. To me, trees are like cathedrals. I feel more holy under one than I do in a church.

The only tree I ever thought was creepy was an old gnarled macadamia.

I later found out someone had hit it with their car and killed their family (a kid, infant and girlfriend) on purpose.

Turns out it wasn't the tree at all, it was what happened to the tree.

Maybe there's a similar situation attached to other "creepy" trees?

That makes sense to me they probably absorb the energy from those who were killed there. Maybe the trees in cemeteries kind of do the same thing. I have often heard people describe the trees in cemeteries as creepy...

I hang out at Rose Hills {giant local cemetery} all the time (off and on) because my mom is there. I don't think of them as creepy there, either.

But there are trees that I feel sorry for, like the ones that get "topped" instead of pruned nicely, shaped artistically, just a reasonable decent pruning instead of some idiot wacking off branches and they look like dead trees when they get done with them, and then the branches don't grow right they look like a bush on top of a tree when they grow out, I'm sure the the trees would be happier perhaps with a better hair cut, lol.

I think Sangress hit it on the head, something happened and the trees around here may have absorbed the negative energy that happened here. Not sure exactly what happened but there is a lot of negative energy around the area where we live. I did a cleansing in my home, several and was able to remove whatever negative energy there was here but it remains in the trees. I get the feeling these trees "witnessed" some evil doings over the years and I can feel it in their energy. Maybe its not the trees but the land the trees are on. Or maybe I am off the wall here lol.

It's like that time I saw that nature spirit standing in a tree, the tree didn't feel like a tree anymore even though I saw it right in front of me, just sitting there like all normal trees do.

I've been thinking for a while that trees filter the energy around them in the same way they photosynthesize light and carbon dioxide and water to create....well, energy.

So, if my theory is correct (which is a long shot since I haven't even considered it properly until this moment) then trees could suck up (or breathe in or filter) the pain, or the essence of whatever negative thing has happened around or within it and probably keep circulating that energy within them for...well...ever until the energy bleeds back into the earth or gets detoxified over time.

Anyhow, sorry for going off topic. I should really make a post for this eh?

Heh, at Christmas this hedge was cut like a reindeer and this little kid was pointing at it and going "ohh look at the reindeer...blah blah" and I swear that the tree pretty much exploded *irritation, anger, resentment "I AM NOT A REINDEER!"* not in those exact words of course, but it was so blatantly obvious in its aura and everything.

Made me laugh.
